Shipping & Returns
Fabric Spot strives to provide you with excellent customer service. We offer the best shipping rates for an online fabric store in Canada. Your order will be processed, packaged and shipped within 1-3 business days of payment clearing. Please note that we do not process orders on Saturday and Sunday (everyone needs a break, right?!). An e-mail will be sent to you once your ordered has been shipped. If there is any problem with your order (e.g. product not in stock), you will be contacted by e-mail.
Fabric Spot is an environmentally friendly business. We try, as much as possible, to use environmentally friendly packaging. This means that sometimes, we may ship your order in clean, re-purposed cardboard boxes. Our bubble mailers are recyclable at your local recycling depot. As well, please re-use or recycle any packaging materials. Our plastic bags make a great storage container for small pieces of fabric for various projects.Thanks for your understanding and thanks for helping our planet!
Shipping within CANADA:
Within Canada, all packages are shipped via Canada Post. Estimated delivery is within 3-7 business days for most addresses. If your order is greater than $100 before taxes and after discounts, shipping and handling charges are FREE. If your order is less than $100 before taxes and after discounts, shipping and handling is a $6.99 flat rate. (Due to recent increase in Canada Post shipping rates, we have had to increase our shipping charges.) Occasionally, products ordered at the same time may be shipped separately. We will notify you if this is the case. **Please note that for remote areas, extra charges may apply. **
Shipping to the U.S.A. (excludes U.S. territories and possessions):
Orders to the U.S.A. will be shipped via the most economical method. Estimated delivery is within 10-15 business days, excluding any time that your package may be delayed in Customs. The shipping and handling charge is a flat rate of $20 CAD. If you would like faster delivery, please contact us for details and pricing. ** Please note that for remote areas, extra charges may apply.**
International Shipping (Outside of Canada & U.S.A.):
Currently, we ship to Australia, France, Italy, New Zealand, Switzerland and United Kingdom. We will ship your order via Canada Post. For International Parcel Surface service, the shipping and handling charge is $30 CAD (flat rate). Delivery may be up to 8 weeks, excluding any time that your package may be delayed in Customs. For Xpress Post International service (air), the estimated delivery is 6-10 business days (excluding any time that your package may be delayed in Customs) and the shipping and handling charge is $50 CAD (flat rate). For a shipping quote to other international destinations, please contact us. **Please note that for remote areas, extra charges may apply. **
Customs, Duties & Import Fees:
Shipping and handling charges do not include any customs fees or duties or taxes placed on the package. These charges are the responsibiity of the purchaser. Customs forms will be filled out with the actual total cost of your order and with an accurate description of the products ordered.
Please note that Fabric Spot does not take any responsibility for lost or stolen parcels. We will gladly provide any tracking information that we have for your parcel and aid you in launching an investigation with Canada Post or other carrier for your parcel. However, we cannot reimburse you the cost for any lost parcels. As such, if you would like Fabric Spot to purchase insurance for the ocntents of your parcel then please email us that request and we will invoice you for the cost of the postal insurance.
If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order to let us know the reason for your return. Return it to us within 14 days of purchase to receive a refund for the cost of the fabric (not including original shipping charges) less a 20% re-stocking fee. Once we have received the product, I will contact you and the aforementioned refund will be issued. Please note that any product returned must be unused, undamaged, and in its saleable, original condition. The customer is responsible for the cost of returning the order. As well, the customer is responsible for the shipping costs of any replacement order. Please ensure adequate packaging and that the product is not damaged in transit.
There are no returns, exchanges or refunds on printed patterns, downloaded patterns, gift cards or books.
However, if we have made an error with your order, we will gladly pay for the cost of return shipping. Contact us within 7 days of receiving your order so that we may correct the problem for you in a timely manner. Your happiness and satisfaction with our service is important to us.
